Test Days

Right you're a member of a club and you've got your licence and a bike, what now ? Race ?
I wouldn't recommend it!

Get yourself on a circuit test day. Similar to a track day, but for race bikes only

Before you can take a bike on a circuit test day, you and your bike should meet the following requirements:

You should have a ACU Licence
Your clothing should meet ACU standards
Your Bike should meet ACU standards
You understand track rules and flags

Most circuits run test days throughout the season, Mallory Park runs an afternoon avery Wednesday afteroon.

1. How much does it cost?

Depending on the circuit, I think Mallory is 32 pounds for the afternoon, contact the circuit you wish to ride on for more details.

2. Why do a test day?

Firstly it gives you the opportunity to learn to ride your new bike, even if you have converted your old road bike, its going to ride differently now!
Learn the track, I highly recommend doing a test day at each new track. Its going to take you a morning/afternoon to learn a new track. Before club races you generally only get 6 practice laps, and there is no way you are goin to learn a track in that short period!
